OK, this is weird. Our TT is haunted?

Prepping our Arctic Fox for an upcoming trip, DW noticed the toilet is running. Water keeps coming out of the spray jet in the bowl. Not dripping, running.

Now the odd part is the pump is off. Confirmed and double checked. It is not hooked up to city water. The fresh tank is empty.

Where is the water coming from? It is not just the residual in the lines, it has been running for half an hour now.
  • You need to get together with the person who posted not too long ago about how to find water when traveling. :)
  • half hour holy moley that's a long time to run...are you sure you aren't parked on a natural spring?
  • Don't worry. When the voice says "Get out of my trailer!", just get out.
  • "Then replace toilet water supply assembly"

    x2

Even after you turn off the water pump, there is still residual pressure in the lines. The toilet supply assembly is the only place that is not a tight seal, indicating it needs to be replace, or at least checked for debris keeping a valve open.

    Fun times ahead!
  • Open a faucet.........it will stop

Then replace toilet water supply assembly cause if it is allowing water thru w/o 'pressure' then it is really going to flow with pump on/city water on

Do you have an accumulator tank??????
  • Don't worry about it being haunted. Until the water turns red.

Then you'll need an exorcism. :E
  • I can perform an exercism for you right now on line. There, finished. Just send me a check. It will eventually stop. Sorry I have no helpful info on this aside from a defective toilot balve pressurized by the hot water heater. Even though the guage may say empty there is still likely a bit of water in the system
  • Sounds like you've lived in Westwood just a bit too long.:B
  • neat!

what about other water faucets, do they have haunted water too?

unless it turns into blood, probably not the work of a poltergeist

when you say running, not dripping, how fast will it fill a bucket? I'm wondering if there's an accumulator tank somewhere - they can hold anywhere from a quart or two, up to a few gallons. they'll provide water even when the pump is off, until they empty.

I can get one toilet flush from my 2 qt accumulator.
