Since we boondock we have no choice. We fill the fresh before we leave home and dump the waste tanks when we return. There is no dump stations or fresh water available in between.
The other reason is years ago we took our first trailer out and took no water. The pumps at the campground were red tagged and the water had to be boiled. Even after boiling and filtering the water our dog wouldn't touch it. Luckily a nice lady gave us a gallon of water for the dog and saved us from coming home. We have carried our own water since.
