Thanks for the welcomes, all.
Ignorance is bliss I reckon, Jefe. I had no issues with rot or leaks, and no significant ones with condensation. Most of the 10 years were in western Colorado, but two or three were on the Gulf coast, with the last couple here in west Texas.
I periodically checked the roof sealant, but never re-sealed it.
I replaced a water heater, a half-dozen batteries, had a $400 repair on the Generac (I'm going with a Honda this time), and when I traded it in last week the fridge didn't work on shore power, and the power converter was out. It quit in a big electrical storm last summer, and I had been just using a battery charger.
I was starting to let it slip away into "junky old camper" status.
Of course I broke and replaced a half-hundred cheesy little plastic latches, catches, and handles. Oh, and one propane pigtail.
I think that's about it.
I'd guess I spent about 7 of those years connected to shore power, 3 boondocking.
Diesel was $1.49 when I moved into the camper. I travelled a lot more then. :(
My old '99 Dodge Cummins dually was getting tired, too, so last year I replaced it.
With a 2012 Ram Cummins dually. I went from silver to white, though.
I'm a wild one.
About 2 years in, I missed tools and toys, so I bought a 14' cargo trailer, which quickly filled with same. Had to use a 24" extension, and cracked both it and receiver at different times.
I had each rebuilt stronger, but they continued to worry me.
One of my favorite things about the 850 is that I won't need the extension with it.
