great rig - thanks for sharing the link. I would not have seen it otherwise. Fun to day dream about the trips one could make in that.

But then I realize I like cruise control, A/C, sat. radio...

Interesting old school camper setup.

As to the value, what's the truck worth by itself? And as was mentioned, where are you going to find one for less money?

Sometimes the ONLY time you learn about the existence (let alone see) one of these rarer setups is in an ad when it comes up for sale, so I see no problems with this type of thread.

I can't speak for everyone, but for me, it's not about being self-righteous or enforcing the rules. It's about following the rules and helping the mods. The mods decide what they want to do.

Take spam for instance, we can either wait for the mods to find the threads and delete them, or let them know. If we let them know, it's reasonable to let those who open the thread know we've already let them know.

It varies mod to mod. I have had a few posts deleted that had a link to a product or sale I thought was cool and others have been left up.

People post them all the time, so it doesn't seem to be against the rules. It's only against the rules if it's something "you" are trying to sell.

I think this falls under the "That's Cool" exception rule written into the rules. Look it up, it's there, I swear.

I really like it. I've always thought it would be cool to take an old camper like that and resto-mod it like rodder's do. NOT ruin a perfectly good restored/preserved one, but take one needing work, restore the outside to original, but the inside with all the latest goodies. You know, like a beautiful '56 Chevy with a brand new Corvette LS3.

In fact, that inspires me to write a new post.... I want to see more of these.
