Old Trailer? suggested I post this here?

Hi' folks, I just bought an older 1989 Canadian made Glendette travel trailer which is on a static site. Trouble is, no papers, manuals etc. I have downloaded the manual for the Furnace (per your tips) but would love to get my mitts on an Owner's manual' any info

I've contacted Ottawa Campers as suggested but only got to 'chat' with some faceless person called Andrea no success! Any help would certainly be appreciated.

  • I owned several older travel trailers. Mine were before all the appliances had electonic start. You had to light all the pilot lights. This involved holding in the valve on the thermocouple until it would stay lit by itself. If you list what you have, or describe it, Im sure someone here has some experience with it.
  • I concur with the other posts. Even if you manage to find a manual it probably won't help you all that much.
  • I hate to say it but you probably won't have any luck securing a manual. From your post I gather that you are already aware of this, but your best bet is to go through the entire trailer and make a list of every device by name and model number. If you can't find a name and number then take a picture and post it here and someone can probably help.

Once you have your list you can start searching online or ask here and we can try to point you to resources to download the manuals.
  • I don’t remember RV manuals from that era being any better than today’s. Nearly worthless.
