There are a lot of people on here in your shoes. Only U can decide when its time.
We are so used to our Lance 165-s, and know every foible and failing that we keep patching it up to travel another year. Notice I said travel. With our truck camper, the traveling is the most important part, not the camping part. It helps that its small and light. Also, our TC has very few extras to go south. The tried and true regular parts have been fine. Knock on wood.
We fixed some leaks, added insulation, carpeting, a couple structural woes, but none of the appliances have given us any problems, which in itself is amazing considering the pressure we put on it XTC-ing. I just ordered LED's for the interior, and we're going to order new blackout curtains all around to replace the Venetian Blinds that came with it.
I would say keep your eyes open and be flexible for a very wide swath of the southwest for 'the deal' on wide range of models. Those gems are out there. Your job is to find just one of them. I'm always combing C.L. or other sources for those gems. Just last week I found a 10' Alaskan that has been garaged since 1977 when it was made. Amazing shape, if you are into that kind of domicile.
As an aside, I went to BHS for couple years, and my 3 bros went to South High.
regards, as always, jefe
