I bought a newer truck at about 1/2 price of new, and I don't think I'm going to buy a new one again. At least, not unless I plan put a lot of miles per year. The same thing is true for TCs or any type of RVs. You could do a massive upgrade by buying a several year old TC of the right brand and that has been taken care of. Sure, I have to do some maintenance on my 2006 TC, but it's not bad compared to a new one. I could even pay someone to do the yearly maintenance once a month for far less than what new ones cost.
As I explained to my friend who didn't want to buy a used truck. I said to him, you take care of your's right? So, it stands to reason that there are those vehicles/RVs that are at a good price and have been taken care of. Any way, that's my new philosophy after years of always trading in barely used trucks/cars for new ones.
