- ShinerBockExplorerIf you want your 6.7 to sound like an old 5.9, then slap a few grand down on a 2nd gen manifold swap. The older 5.9s had the turbo mounted in the middle of the exhaust manifold creating a much more pleasant sound than the raspy 6.7 which has its turbo mounted toward the rear of the engine on the bottom of the exhaust manifold to make room for the EGR cooler.
Of course you can only do this on an EGR deleted truck. The other benefit to the 2nd gen swap is that it flows better than the 6.7 manifold and you have more aftermarket turbo options. - Me_AgainExplorer III

I destroyed a 7.3 on an on-ramp when mine was new. Not sure if he was stock... ;) - Bionic_ManExplorer

Maybe I should rephrase and say stock Cummins. Heck I’d bet on a stock 6.4 stroke to beat a 2018 stock Cummins.
Modded trucks are a different story. - 4x4ordExplorer IIII think our stock 1.5 liter Honda Civic would hang a lickin on any of these diesels. As slow as my truck is I seldom see a need to feed it more than about 1/4 throttle.
- larry_barnhartExplorersucks the newest truck was not the new Ram. why change brands for a stupid test. New should always be the fastest.
chevman - A stock 6.4PSD vs stock '18 6.7CTD the CTD would win.

:h I believe they said 2018 Ram.
The testing makes one wonder if horsepower figures are not the truth.
