We empty our tank and store the unit in the kitchen sink. Nothing stays on our counters, or shelves, even the shortest trip results in objects being thrown every where! Our Keurig stays in the camper for the duration of the camper season, we then bring it in the house for the winter, kids use it for hot chocolate. We always brew an empty cup after sitting between trips.
