When we purchased our 2012 Ascent S85R camper back in March, the 2500 watt Propane fired Onan had a measly 2 hours on it! I hit the prime button a few times and it fired right up. We put 30 hours on it over the summer without issue. I will say this though it doesn't take much to lug it down though. In the mornings if we had the electric side of water heater on, the microwave running, and the coffee pot brewing it would almost kill it, so we learned not to use the microwave and coffee maker at the same time. I imagine if we had to choose a gas generator it wouldn't be an Onan, we'd like go with a Honda. We love boon-docking and when you run the gas and electric together on the water heater the water heats up fast and you don't run out of hot water in the shower.
