Online classifieds?

Any other worthwhile places to search for a used rv online other than craigs list, rv trader, and ebay? I am looking to broaden my search parameters to see what else is out there.
  • You mentioned the most-popular sites, but have you done a raw (search engine of your choice) search? Just put in the make, model, length, "for sale", and your town, and you may get some valid hits. Granted, you will get mostly the same sites in your initial results, but look down the list.

I listed my dad's TT on my personal site a few years ago, and someone found it there. It is not out of the question that smaller sites will appear with just what you are looking for.

    Good luck!

    :h

Perhaps you need to refine or adjust the parameters of what you are trying to find :S

It just may be that what you are looking for simply doesn't exist.. Such as separate bedroom with walk around full size queen bed plus two baths plus 3 bunks in a bunkhouse in a 25 ft or less hard sided trailer..

Is it prices you are stuck on?

Honestly pretty good chance a private seller is going to ASK a lot.. But if you don't at least make an offer it is your fault for not trying..

Maybe you are looking for too new of a trailer but not willing to spend more than what will buy a 20yr old trailer..

You need to be a bit more realistic..

Used is used and typically you can not be over the top choosy with floor plans, colors and such.. You may not ever find your "dream" RV but there ARE tons of trailers out their, sometimes it will take some compromises and creativity on your part..

As far as expanding your horizons for searching.. Your best bet IS LOCAL. Something within a reasonable driving distance..

I would NOT recommend buying ANY RV which I can not personally drive to, inspect, offer, pay for and then take with me... Entirely too many scammers and risk to do otherwise..

For your Craigslist searches, change the search to other major towns that are within a COMFORTABLE driving distance. If you have friends or relatives in other cities or states even search craigslist near them.. Might give you an excuse to go visit.

I have done that with an antique car and found what I was looking for..

Craigslist is INTENDED to be a LOCAL LISTING where you are able to meet face to face with the seller (or buyer). The search engine only searches the area you choose but you can change it to other local towns..

Other options folks have listed like PPL is going to require either buying blind (unseen) or making a major trip to look at it and then figure out how to get it home...

Many dealers list new & used trailers on-line. You might try some local ones.

The more dealerships I visit, the more I would rather buy private party.
