What I had read was Powrloc was the option in 94- 98 trucks , Tracloc in 99 to 02 when Dodge and Dana fell out
Powrloc was stronger but not rebuildable now except for clutches
Tracloc not so good like Jefe said
Also read Detroit Truetrac is one of the better after market ones
So if I can only find a 94-98 axle , and if it is cheap I`ll get it totaly re-built with aftermarket , or open same
If Tracloc and dosent need rework now I`ll plan for future re-build
If open and dosent need re- build plan for future ,if it needs re-build I`ll have Detroit put in
I mainly wondered I many would say open is better for loads , but nobody has said that so that answers that question
Im just trying to counter the SRW TO DRW snow traction Im going to give up , when it snows good here my neighbors with DRW 4x4 and open dif are stuck without chains , while I have no problem with SRW 4X4 open dif
