open range travel trailers

Am planning to retire in 4-5 years. Spent a considerable amount of time lurking on this site but have only seen limited subject matter on Open Range tt. Originally was convinced on Arctic fox or Blackstone but the floor plans and amenities seem closer to what I would like. Any opinions?

  • We had one before we traded for our fiftth wheel. Great unit very well built. I was nervous trading it off because it had been trouble free, but our Grand Design has been trouble free as well.
  • We had an Open Range fifth wheel for 4 years and was very pleased with it. We sold it and am no longer rving as we bought a place in Florida
  • We bought an Open Range TT earlier this year, our first RV of any kind. So far it's been a great unit, and Open Range seems to include a lot of small details / upgrades over other units we looked at. We've spent around a month in ours so far and pulled it around 6k miles around the country.
  • Toured the factory last month. They are now wholly owned by Jayco and this means Jayco exclusive dealers can now sell Open Range without losing their perks they get from Jayco. The tour was good and I liked their quality. Im looking to buy their 319rl light.
  • Check out the open range forum. There is many hours of reading there.
  • I know some people who swear by them, and wouldn't buy anything else. I have to say, I have been nothing but impressed by Open Range. Their floor plans are unique, which I love. I don't see many TTs, mostly 5ers.

I can't speak to build quality, as I personally have never owned one. They will however be high on my list when I look to replace my current TT.
