Open Range Ultra Lite travel trailer

I'm looking at one of these, they look like upscale units. Anyone here have one?
  • I bought a Roamer 374bhs, much different but based on people review of the company I purchased mine. After two usages the o my issues I've found were poor seeking of the roof vents. Luckily I ordered mine so it wasn't sitting long at a dealership for me to find these issues.

A friend was looking into getting a camper and I told him about the ultra light 2802 and he ended up ordering it and has had it since memorial day. Can't comment on the quality if either yet but so far we're both happy.

I will say that I went to 3 dealers and they were all stellar and new the product well. I can't say the same for other dealers in my area. One of my main points prior to purchasing was to have a good selling dealer.
  • There were quite a few OR Lights at the Texas owner's rally in April but I'm not sure if any were Ultra Lights. I would check on the OR owner's forum. We have a 2013 OR TT but it is not a light. We love it and have had very few problems. Had the propane regulator replaced under warranty. That was the only warranty issue. A couple more small items that I fixed myself rather than take it to the dealer. I do have to replace the skylight (ordered on Amazon) soon as it has some small cracks. It's been back and forth across the country two times plus a lot of shorter trips. One other thing. I replaced the junk Chinese tires that came on it with Maxxis tires and no problems at all. I would definitely buy another OR trailer if I didn't plan to use this one till I can't travel any longer (a long time I hope).
  • You may get more responses on the Open Range Owners forum.
  • I've got a Roamer (more slides and more insulation and few other things) Get a 2017 as it still has the two year warranty. 2018 is only one.
  • We just got ours a month or so ago. Love it. It pulls great. We took it to Colorado and back to break it in. It is more upscale than our last two trailers. I appreciate the electric tongue jack and the electric stabilizer jacks. Ours came with the 15k A/C unit, power awning, LED lighting inside and out, fiberglass front cap, and insulated cover on the underside for heating the tanks. Granted, we paid more than for the other two trailers, but I think we got a lot for the money. Very pleased.
