My favorite camping spots are 1 or 2 miles of poor dirt road off of secondary roads, (much worse that logging roads.). Thunder storms can blow in, in a flash. But clear out just as fast. You can get snow just about any time of the year.
My real concern is while traveling these roads. If I am set up, I can wait things out, the mountain soil soaks things up fast.
While on the beach I've seen trucks of all sorts get stuck. My main concern there is the creek crossing. Week days can be pretty lonely out there but generally you can get a tow. It sounds like the u turns are just air down and constant speed. If some one gets in the way, and you have to stop. Tell your mom. Lol And wait for help.
I think I'll go with limited slip in the rear and if or when money Allows add the eaton or ARB to the front.
If the electric or vacuum fails on these, is there a manual override.
As someone said. Working 99% of the time isn't the solution. Because you really only need something like these, 1% of the time.
