Opinions of Double Bed over Double Bed bunk houses

Its well in a half ton trucks rating... its more than capable of sleeping a lot of people.

Our floorplan is almost identical, except the kitchen and the dinette are flipped, with the dinette being on front side where the awning is, making for a nice view while eating.

Wow - I've never heard of anything above 300 lbs. And although mine is rated at 300 lbs, I wouldn't want to sleep below someone that weighed that much. :E

Years ago I had to strengthen the frame of my lower bunk because a friend who was 300+ lbs came with me when we camped in the infield of a NASCAR race. I could just picture him crashing through the bunk on to the water heater and tank in the middle of the night.

I like the idea of the private bedroom as on the ZT28BH, but one disadvantage is if you install a real queen bed, you will likely not be able to walk around the foot of the bed to get to the far side.

My trailer has a similar bedroom set up, but with a walk thru where the "ward" closet is on the ZT28BH. For me, a big deal as I wanted to install a real queen bed (and I'm not even that tall...I just like the extra room more than the extra closet). Just something to keep in mind if you want to install a bigger mattress...

Another thought: with two kids, we find a u-shape dinette to be far superior to the standard dinette.

that would be pretty much identical to our Jay Flight 28BHBE....with 2 exceptions being a "U" shaped dinette and a large stand up shower.....good luck and enjoy!

Lover the floor plan, we upgraded to a 14 viewfinder 28bhss this spring. great for the kids and plenty of storage. the door directly to the bathroom from outside is nice to keep from everyone tracking through camper. My kids are 7 and 5 and they will grow into this just fine.
