Yeah, I'm working on the truck charging issue. I have #2 run the length of the truck so wire size isn't the issue, but could be the connector at the rear bumper or the relay feed in the engine compartment.
Been wanting to add solar still so I don't have to watch the consumption as tight. Next year we hope to travel out west and while still plan on moving every day or so, the travel time may not be enough to keep the battery recharged, even if I do fix the wiring.
Let's not mention that since my kids are supporting themselves, I have some money burning in my pocket so have some for toys, ummm, mean upgrades.
