Jim, you are talking me into the Solar Blvd. pair of panels. I'll crawl up there in the morning to see if it will fit on the roof of my small hard side Lance. The over all width up there is 87", not conducive to roof add ons. I don't have air conditioning so that means more space. Basically the only thing I've changed is the roof fan to a Fantastic Fan. But that uses the same space as before. This has been a real education reading this thread. I've had a lot of experience with 12v d.c. on my model railroad, but that's a whole different animal as now you need somewhere to transfer and store the amps. What about the Torklift add-on battery case hanging on the frame? Would this be a good storage module? That would give me a total of (4) group 31 batteries for storage.2 on the truck, one in the TC; one on the frame.

Dang 4 31's..... The Tlift battery hanger is an option but I'm not fond of having batteries in 2 different areas because of temperature differences. But it probably would not be significant until winter... Were you live that outside battery will be SHIVERING!....
Another thing is why do you need so many AH? 110X4 /50%= <>150 AH useable. Do you run your furnace in the winter? We do not, well to take the edge off sometimes but the WAVE 3 is our primary heat source.
I rarely use over 22 ah in the dead of winter each day.... Most of the time around 15...
Even charging cell phones, laptops and watching tv for a couple of hours.
So you do not think you could even get a couple of 60-70 watt panels to fit up there?
Wayne has run 2 65watt panels for years and never charges from his gen or shore power when out and about. He like me only has 1 battery... 100ah...
Get the dimensions of a couple of panels, cut out the shape on cardboard, get up there and play around.... They do not need to be side by side... Sleepy and others actually mounted theirs on the roof rack using unistrut.....
