Just for a different point of view, several people on here have used this stuff, www.amazon.com/Renogy-Watts-Volts-Monocrystalline-Starter/.
I have 2 of these panels, but I use a Bogart Engineering solar controller which works hand in hand with my TM-230-RV meter.
Well Ill 3rd the Renogy options for the OP-mostly due to width of 100 watt panel, pricing. Though the conversation brings up a lot of good advice- if your width is a concern-heed it. Shadows will impact use more than type of controller etc. Renogy offers all kinds of kits & what's included. Sounds like you wouldnt use the mounts and unknown if cabling sufficient. They do offer basic kit without cabling/mounts. The also offer same kits with 2 panles.
But the starter kits for $188 (or $200 includes wire controller to battery) rather amazing even if you tossed unused items. Less than just the panel you were originally looking at-can always upgrade components but you could be installing while pondering. Just an opinion..
Ive always heard (and believe) how the Mppt are more desirable, just never understood how they 'make' more amps than panle rated at. I couldnt justify cost to find out- regularly see the 7.4+ amps 140w panel is rated at but at 17.9v. But plus 2 amps or better just switching controllers?
