Thanks for all the info.
Just need to double check some dimensions to make sure the renogy panel will fit. If it does, think it and the rogue converter will be the way to go.
Hope to get the panel and controller ordered today. Only other thing to order will be the water tight connection to go through the side of the fridge vent. Everything else and I can get locally.
Last question, figuring on mounting the controller under my sink, so 8' to battery and 13' to a single 100W panel. What size wire would you suggest? Would 10Ga be about the right compromise between cost and loss?
Would be nice for 8 ga wire but 10 is ok.
Don't go through the side of the fridge vent... Remove the top and just run the wires over the top, secure the wire with wire restraints.... then down into the fridge compartment.
Inside the fridge, on the wall I used 2 ground bus bar's, one for + and 1 for -.... If you want to upgrade, add another panel all you have to do is run the wires to the bars.
From the bus bars to the solar controller I used 8 ga wire.
coming from the roof, since I have 2 panels I ran extension cord 10 ga to a junction box from each panel. Then individual 10 ga for each panel through electrical pvc conduit over to the fridge vent. Then the wires up and over the vent and down iside the fridge
