I've been happy with the workmanship on my KZ. They have many stlyes so finding a used one shouldn't be that difficult.
With respect to fiberglass vrs tin, you will get a lot of opinions on what people prefer and why. Generally, tin dents easy but doesn't delaminate, is lighter, easier to repair and less expensive.
