Wow - very interesting. I guess they are allowing for the weight reduction to make up the difference.
My truck has 3:55s, which puts me at ~1400rpm at 60mph. Great for fuel economy, but not for towing. Hit any kind of hill and it will drop down into fifth.
I wonder if that will stay or change later down the road.
Heck, is the 4:11 even available any more? I assume it is not. I'm thinking it might be a good idea to hold out for a year or so before making the jump as they sort things out.
Of course, what do I know. Heck, they may pull better than you think with the reduced weight. ~700# is nothing to sneeze at. If it pulls as well with 3:55s as it used to with 3:73s (300-400rpm difference) then it's a win/win, especially when not pulling a load. Lower rpm on highway equals less fuel consumption (for the most part).
