It definitely would be better with the door hinged on the inboard side but would still be inconvenient to get the cap open and the fill hose inserted. A diversion valve off the city water fill to the fresh tank would be a clean modification. On another note: The fill is on passenger side where most fresh water supply sources are the left side of the convenience island. I didn't see why it was placed on this side.
