I have always bought my trucks at invoice. The dealers get other monies when they sell a vehicle. the difference between invoice and sticker isn't really all that much.

My deal is already done. I really don't care how long it takes but can you please show me where they are saying that more plants will be shutting down. Being here in Az, mine will probably come out of Mexico but keep in mind, Chevrolet makes money selling vehicles and I got my order in before the build configurer on the Chevrolet site was updated, so we'll see!

As it stands now, production of the refreshed 2022 Silverado and 2022 GMC Sierra will kick off at the GM Silao Assembly facility in Mexico on February 21st, rather than February 7th, as originally reported. Afterwards, production of the pickups will begin at the GM Fort Wayne Assembly facility in Indiana on March 14th, rather than March 6th.

I had herd of many people getting 32-33 hwy but those all had 3.23 gears and mine with 3.73s and a little more weight probably won't do as well. But should still do ok

I only built the truck with my dealer in two different configurations since the 5.3 wasn't orderable. I built it with the crew cab short bed and the double cab standard bed and the was around $3,000 difference. I settled on the crew cab. The payload is 1920 lbs with a 7,300 GVW.
I built every different option I could on the Chevrolet website but the refreshed 2022 1500 won't show up on the build configurer until next month.

Congrats on the new truck! I didn't know a lot about this setup, but after reading specs on 3.0, and reviews, I was impressed.

I would be curious of the price difference for your 3 options.

I have about 25k miles on a 5.3/10speed. Trans is great, so far. Only complaint, if I had to find one, is either 9th or 10th seems pretty useless, as it only provides about a 150rpm split.
I think we’ve now hit about the practical limit for number of forward speeds. Honestly don’t notice much difference than the GM 8 speed or Dodge 8 speed, but all are a significant improvement over the 6 speeds that they replaced.
Wouldn’t hurt my feelers to have 3.73s behind my gasser though, if they offered it.
