Not sure you need the folding grab handle. It appears the 992 has a ladder in the same place as the 990. With the Fox Landing you enter and egress right by the ladder which makes a great grab handle for getting up or down. We use it for that purpose all the time.
Your right we use ladder rather than grab handle but the grab handle does make it possible to open the door when standing on the ground otherwise, especially if tc is mounted, you'd have to stand on steps.
Also the oven in our Northwood Wolf Creek isn't very usable for anything other than a pizza. Half of it is devoted to a broiler so that can't put a very high pan in the upper section, kind of a joke. I haven't seen anybody use a broiler since my dad broiled a steak in 1965! It has 2 places where you can insert the rack at different heights and the lowest is right on top of the burner so anything you put there will burn on the bottom. Move it up and you got room for biscuits.
Actually we have 2 long handles on the rear of our rig, 1 of them is the foldout grab handle which I agree is worthless. It's the long handle that reaches from the bottom of the door to above the latch and attaches to the latch that's worth having.
