Nemo667 - thanks for the info about the issue Don had, just the type of info I was looking to get. The issue wasn't the hemi but the softer springs in the power wagon which is designed for off road. The power issue was mainly because of the elevation, but also partly because of the tires. The 4.56 gearing didn't compensate for the 35" tires.
When I talked with Don the main thing I remember him griping about also was the soft long-travel springs trying to carry the camper. (Power may also have been an issue but springs are what I remember too.)
Sounds like an awesome truck. I'd get the lower gears if it were me with the gas engine. Course, I live in the mountains. I'm also generally a fan of the silver/grey/pewter type shades. Looked at some silver CO state patrol colored Kodiaks on a dealer lot, and liked it. But I actually always liked white, entirely for function. In the summer the white Carryalls/Suburbans/Scouts we used in Montana (University owned vehicles, and every one of them white) because they seemed to stay soooo much cooler than the darker colored personally owned vehicles.
Good luck!
