I ordrerd a 2018 ram 3500 6.4 gas DRW crew rear wheel drive with 4.10’s and the standard rear suspension, last October . I went with this configuration to get the max capacity which is 7k payload and 14k gvwr also gives me a little over 15k towing for a fifth wheel if we ever go back to a trailer , knowing it would struggle with a big fifth wheel but would be rated for it . We only used this truck for camping and are not really off road campers also did not go diesel this time due to cost, intended use and all the stuff they have added to all the diesels that I did not want to deal with down the road. As for air suspension I did not order it because there are no after market suspension products available for the factory air bag system and I wanted to add a sway bar, well it turns out that there are no sway bars available for the gas 6.4 hemi equipped truck without customer modification due to exhaust system clearance issues with the rear resonator. If knew this when ordering I would have gone with the factory air system , some have said the air system is a little soft with a heavy load but I have no experience with. The 3500 in my configuration handles our host mammoth with just upper stable loads , squats about 3 1/2 inches with out water , but have not had a chance to take any longer trips with the new truck just some weekends some highway miles will know much more in the spring , took a little less than eight weeks from placing the order to taking delivery of the truck ,good luck
