I agree with most of the above, although some suggestions are very far north of your target. The "Newport" Aquarium you want is properly called the Oregon Coast Aquarium. The Cape Perpetua aria south of Yachats is my favorite part of the coast. Lots of trails begin at the visitor center located next to a forest service campground. Make sure you drive or hike to the lookout on top of the Cape. See where I live?
