OK, I confess, I have other interests and hobbies, lol.
One of my current projects is similar to your Benz love. I have a 2001 BMW 530i needing a full rear suspension overhaul. I love that car. It has many of the custom upgrades making it close to an "M", sans bigger engine.
My Winter hobbies include building and using custom stereo gear. I build amps, preamps, speakers, etc. Currently on the bench are a pair of Grundig speakers, circa 1960. Each speaker has individual balance controls and a tube amp within. They are rare.
