Doug33 yes to your question there were at least two deaths when a tree landed on a tent.. The link to the news clip posted on this site doesn't do it justice... I just happened to catch a CNN clip just after it occurred and it was pretty unbelievable. Living and camping in the southeast always has me on edge when storms blow up I urge everyone to get a weather radio or your phones tuned into the local weather net.
I hope everyone that was involved in this incident fairs well & R.I.P. to those fellow campers who did not.
