Outdoor grill hookup questions

I picked up a 2013 Jayco X23B recently and it had a mounting bracket for a grill on the side and a quick connect for the gas underneath. I've been shopping around for something to put there and had a cousin that gave me a stove he used on an old popup camper they had...score! haha Anyways, it mounts right up but the hose is about 2" too short and it has a screw type connector where my camper has the quick connect. Is it possible for me to find like a 6" adapter? What are my options to make this work?

Here is the stove

  • Go to Amazon and type in Propane or Propane Fittings, quit a selection, I was looking at them this morning. Also, our local Suburban Propane distributor has a good selection of fittings and makes hoses to suit you.

  • I think it can. Also smoke, splashes from cooking and other thing will make it dirty or discolor. Others will chime in. People do it. I'm just not a fan
  • Can't help much with the hose (although I'm sure there's something to make it work) - but I've got a Dutchmen that has a 2 burner stove that slides out of the side. You should be fine using that.

Isn't that what the stoves and mounts are made for? And this has been used outside of a popup a lot...could it hurt my hard side even though it didn't mess with the popup?
  • Yes, I think they make the hose up to 20 feet. So you can get it. However I wouldn't use a stove that close to my trailer. Your choice
