I built my own rather than use a Batwing or similar tip-up antenna. I already had a mast holder on the side of the trailer.

I made one of these Gray-Hoverman single arrays It is attached to a six foot mast. It picks up a better signal than the cable feed into my S&B home. I can't say enough good things about it and I built it in an afternoon.

For typical UHF television reception, the name of the game is height and sensitivity of the antenna. Aiming is also a good thing depending on how directional the antenna is.

If you look at the performance graphs, the Gray-Hoverman outperforms the best commercial antennas you can buy.

All our campers came with an "HD" antenna on the roof.
