I agree with not wanting to do the extra work. I'm leaning towards just buying the whole new unit for an extra $20 and just popping the door off the new unit and placing it on the old unit and having the extra parts when/if necessary.
I was just glad to learn it was the shower door that ripped off and not something much more expensive. I only saw the door fly as it happened, so I wasn't immediately sure what had actually flown off and then I saw something long and black dangling from the side of the RV. I naturally thought the worst and thought it was some rubber trim from the slide or something, but thankfully it was just the hose.
