Outside Cable Connection

Our 2005 Jayco 29BHS has an outside connection for cable. I am attempting to connect our satellite to it but it seems to be disconnected. Is there a place to actually turn on or connect the cable part? The inside connection comes out of the same receptacle as the power button for the antenna and a 12v cigarette type connection. Just learning our trailer and another newb question.:@

    You can't use the cable connection for your sat. Sat. cannot have a splitter in the line, it must be a solid run.

    Here's a commonly used workaround:
    sat. rewire

    Power button has to be OFF when using cable connection (ON is for power to roof antenna)

    Also TV has to be set to 'cable' vs 'air'/'antenna' on input settings.

    Then you have to rescan for channels
