We have a full outside kitchen with a good size fridge and freezer. That and the tv in the kitchen are my favorite 2 things about the trailer. When we travel there is just water and cans of lemonade or soda but once we start cooking, the milk, butter, coffee cream, extra meat etc end up in there so we do not have to go in and out and things don't get left out in the warm weather.
That said, looking at what you have I can understand that it takes from your front storage and is most likely not as useful as mind. Mine is just screwed in with a couple of clips and is easy to remove. How tight is yous in that compartment.
