I would guess that your outdoor stereo is in a conventional frame. If you could post a picture or a link, it would be helpful. If it is conventional. as others have said, it can be replaced with an automotive 12 V stereo head unit. If you wish to have the light off, you could install a small toggle switch in the stereo's constant power circuit to interrupt power to the unit and the kight. You will lose memory settings when switching it like that.
