Overlanding has pretty much ruined what we use to just call back country camping and exploring. Too much fakery and too much money has ruined it. Would you like a shovel for $300 or $4.99? They both work.
Some of the builds that are actually used are really impressive. But to many builds are used 1 weekend a year and really just built to be a mall crawler. ie Jeep JK on 37s with a roof top tent.
