Overloaded SRW????

This 2012 RAM 3500 SRW LB CC showed up with a Lifestyles 5th wheel with a GVWR of 18770 pounds. Truck has 17" tires and wheels. Guy seem oblivious to the fact that he just might be a bit over weight.

Trailer did have 17.5 rims and tires, so he got part of the picture correct.

I agree wski. IdaD, this a forum where people comment on posts, pictures, comments, parks, roads..everything RV. If you don't want to read our posts then don't read them. There is no question in my mind that every reasonable RV person would be concerned about excess weight for that pickup with that 5ver. No one said he WAS overweight...just that is an issue...a safety issue.

Is that a delivery vehicle or the owner?

It may not be, but that doesn't mean it isn't worth talking about.

I believe it is a safety concern, which makes it anyone business that travels the highways and roads. IMHO.
  • So owner said he thought(?) it was around 16K. With a 18770 GVWR then that would mean that he never tows in with very much in it, which is highly unlikely, people do not by trailers like a Lifestyle to not use it.

Next issue is the 17" tires on the truck. 17" tires have become the unwanted step child for pickup tires. These trucks have a 6200 RGAWR

So maybe some will read this and think that maybe they need to get weighed and maybe not believe a salesman that says a particular trailer.

  • This section is all about tow vehicles so it is an interesting photo and post. IdaD using your argument why is what Me Again posts any of your business?

  • How do you know how he's loaded, and why is it any of your business?
  • Did you weigh it? Otherwise you don't truly know if he is overweight!
