Overnight in a pop up with the top down

I was wondering if anyone has ever done this and if it's safe? I ask because if I ever stay in a Walmart parking lot and its' late to save time and keep the noise down it would be nice to just crawl in and sleep.
  • I've done it my Outfitter, cooked on the cooktop, and used the toilet. The Outfitter is laid out so it's possible.
  • If you have a foldup counter, some have a switch that turns on electric and water pump capabilities when you lift the top and flip up the countertop.

I would worry about ventilation, getting enough fresh air if it is all closed up. That would depend on your model.

    Yep,

Also recommended for extreme windy or cold conditions.

Just don't plan on accessing cabover storage or using the stove with the top down.

For stealth camping, bring in the steps and use a flashlight.
  • Yes in both a rest area off the interstate and in a severe storm with trees and branches dropping around me. Just remember not to stand up and stretch without stepping outside.
