That's a very good looking Suburban!
My point was that GM did not redesign the Suburban to follow the redesigned pickups, when they introduced the Duramax/Allison. If they had used the new pickup body/chassis for the Suburban, the Suburban could easily have had the Duramax/Allison too, since Suburbans were always the same as the pickups, from the front doors forward, up to that time.
It's not that GM couldn't fit the Duramax/Allison in the Suburban, it's that they didn't want to.
