Who would have maintained them, and why?

But most owners manuals are junk, very generic with little beyond "common" sense info.

The rig owners manual would have nothing on the fridge, water-heater, furnace, a/c, etc. Those manuals may be found on that subsystems maker web-site, ie Norcold, Dometic, Attwood, Suburban, etc.

You may also find the book "RV Repair & Maintenance Manual" by Bob Livingston useful.

i just want to be thorough in my knowledge of electric breaks. types of greases , fluids , care and maint.
sounds like i am being to picky.

As mentioned the Manf. manuals are sketchy at best.
What I have done is gone to the component makers and downloaded the service and instruction manuals for my needs. I keep these manuals in a file for the trailer and then put them all into Dropbox. I can access these files from my smart phone, Ipad or computer so they are always with me no matter where I go.

An 'owners manual' for trailers is NOTHING like an owners manual for vehicles.
None of that information would be in the 'owners manual' for your trailer

Get pen/paper
Do a complete inventory of your trailers components writing down the BRAND/MODEL of each one
Fridge/water heater/A-C Unit/Oven-range/axles/water pump etc.

Then goggle the Brand/Model for service manuals...download/print and make your own 3 ring binder manual

I went to the different manufactures and downloaded the information on my laptop. As was mentioned before...get a binder and make your own. I also have a binder that is in my trailer of the different components. I bought mine used it and had the information booklets with it.

If they wrote car owners manuals like they do TT owners manuals they would say stuff like -

"Put in gas when needed"

"Start with a key"

"Add air to tires when pressure drops"

That's why folks say TT owners manuals are worthless. :)

Don't forget about all the good guys in these forums too! There are plenty of good ole boys with a ton of knowledge that are extremely helpful and willing if you tell them what you got. (Thanks guys)

well i was hoping to find more of a schematic, maybe hope they had a detail of stucture (showing studs and other stuff). i was hoping to find full plumbing layout, etc.
but, like one said. ill make a binder and sectionalize it.
have note page and reverse engineer the make up of this trailer.
it made the most sense.

i will be happy to keep a on line diary in photo bucket then put them in here some where.

i was just trying to take the lazy way out.

I have a Carriage trailer and contacted them when they were still in business and asked for electrical and plumbing layouts. They replied that they didn't have them which I thought was BS. I think they wanted to keep the info to themselves and maybe their dealers so you had trouble repairing the unit yourself. I had to figure out the electrical by shutting off breakers and opening boxes to trace cables. Same with the plumbing as I took out dividers in the storage areas to see where the pipes went. Traced the coax by colours (thankfully they used 3 colours of coax). If you have a basic understanding of how most trailers are put together you can figure it all out. I found my coax was very similar to other makes of trailers. I have the owners manual for my trailer but it is useless.
