Palomino Maverick 8801

Palomino really needs to increase their tank sizes! I found a smoking deal on the 2014 Maverick 8801:

That's like half price of a Lance 850, Wolf Creek 850, or an Adventurer 89RB(models I'm considering)!

But the 8 grey, 7 black just kill the deal! I can't do it. I don't want to be emptying tanks all the time. I only plan to boondock with it(not paying motel rates at an RV park).

I think that camper would be a great buy with larger tank sizes. I've emailed them about it. Would be nice if anyone else interested in that model would call or email them too.

A Real-Lite 1806 appears to be the exact same model?

Anyone ever own one of these or a similar model? How was the quality of the camper?
  • You will probably be better off spending the extra $10,000 for the larger tanks. Or, get a twenty gallon tote to triple your storage. Or, use the outside shower.
  • There is a reason that they are half the price of the other three brands. Do your own comparison shopping and get inside as many brands as you can. Tank sizes mean a lot to some and its something to consider depending on how you plan on using the TC.

If you are going to stick with Palomino, they do make their "max" series which have larger tanks (gray and black both 20 gallons).
  • I for one have been fulltiming in the 8801 since Oct. and loving every minute of it. It has taken some adjusting coming from a TT but the for me and my situation it couldn't be any better, I only wish I'd of done the TC first.

It took some thought but the tank sizes actually have worked out to the better for me and the cold weather in Virginia is nothing with a little ingenuity.
