Palomino Sabre Reviews

Picking up our new/used. 2011 Sabre 31QBDS Saturday. Who has this brand & the good and bad.
  • Palomino's Sabre is after all a Forest River Product, thus a step or two above some other brands a far as a higher quality, more standard stuff and Billionare Warren Buffets backing it up!

Palomino itself pre-Buffet was a great builder of RV's since 1968, when they had financial issues at a time when many RV companies were failing. They have been re-born and the results bode well for their continued success.

You'll note if you've been shopping other brands, since Palomino is right in the heart of Indiana's Amish Country, they are somewhat known for their open floorplans, woodworking, nice cabinets and lots of windows!

It's important to note that Palomino consistantly gets awarded for their excellant customer service and parts departments by the Recreational Vehicle Industry Association..so if you need parts for your 2011 Sabre you'll get them in a hurry!

I think you will be pleased and have many happy journeys in your new to you Sabre.
  • We have a 2013 Sabre 34REQS-6 and are extremely happy with it. Every manufacturer has a few production/assembly issues from time to time but I think you will be very happy with a Sabre. Have you checked out the Palomino thread at Forest River Owners Forum? The thread is mostly about 5th wheels but you can ask questions about TT's too. • Probably should have asked that question beforehand. Regardless pick a brand and you will have bashers, but, truth be told there's always far more satisfied than not. All of the components and systems are from a handfull of makers. Example, there are only a couople different brand of frames, couplers, roof material, stoves, water heater, furnace, fridge, tub/shower, etc.

Bearing the above in mind does it realy matter? Pick any brand and all brand from the accros the board and they are all the same except for colors, decor, etc.

Find one ya like and roll, quit worrying about reviews...in the rv game they are useless.
  • I have a 2011 Sabre 30BHDS. I like mine. It is heavy with a heavy tongue weight. I had electrical problems in the beginning but one I got them fixed it has been a good camper. I would buy another.
