- Campfire_TimeExplorerThey are made by Palomino RV. I personally cannot speak to thier quality. They sell them in WI but I don't see a lot in the CGs. Back in the early 90's we looked at Palomino's pop-up campers and were not impressed. But that's a totally different class of trailer. Can you go to an RV show and really compare different makes?
- SamsonsworldExplorerThey are made by Forest River. Can't say I've been impressed with the quality of my 2014 Puma.

I stand corrected. Thanks! I didn't look at their "About" page. - Community AlumniWe had a look at a couple of units last year. We loved the exterior color scheme and the layout of the floorplans. However, we were not impressed at all with the fit and finish of the units. Looked like they cheaped out on design and materials in a few areas. Typical of what you find in ultra lite units.
- rockhillmanorExplorer.
- rockhillmanorExplorerMy first TT was a Palomino. I have yet to see anything that compared to the quality of that TT.
That said I have been looking to buy another one and can not find the model I had AND sadly I just found out they were bought out by Forest River. :(
So who knows if the quality will remain the same, I doubt it.
I looked at Forest River first before they bought out Palomino and I would not own one. The had the highest level of formaldehyde smell so bad that I could not even stay in it for any length of time without coughing and my eyes burning. Just saying. - KittykathExplorer IIWe just bought one, and I can't say enough good things about it. I'm very particular on fit and finish, and I went over every inch of that trailer with a fine toothed comb...and my reading glasses. I notice even when a sticker is on a little crooked. I am a dealer's worst nightmare. I was pleasantly surprised by how few minor adjustments we had to make. Nothing in this unit made me stand back and scratch my head. I didn't silently curse out the manufacturer. This is an absolute first. However, as expected, they still put the same junk mattresses and jack knife sofas in these things.
I can't say for sure if I'll always feel this way about our new Solaire because it's brand new and has only rumbled down the highway a few times so far. Who knows what'll eventually pop loose. But we've owned a few different brands, two of them brand new, and I can't say I was ever this satisfied. Maybe we just got lucky for once. - Glendale_290ExplorerWe have a 2013 Solaire and will begin our 4th season with this spring. To date no issues to speak of except small things that are common for all brands. Lippert Components that make power stabilizer Jacks was our only disappointment. But we replaced them with made in the USA "Bal" Brand stabilizer jacks. We love our Solaire and would recommend them. But as always I encourage people to carefully inspect any RV that they are considering to purchase and purchase from a dealer that will provide great service after the sale. An RV is like a house on wheels and most of us have a home inspections before purchasing. Good Luck with your search! Lou
- SWAGGERExplorerWe have a 2014 Solaire 292QBSK and have not had any issues
We like the more modern finish and has held up extremely well with multiple long trips in the bag. The slides are geared which in my opinion much higher quality than the cable/pulley type. Other little things we like better than other RVs we looked at.
