For small holes I just use white butyl seal tape if the color works, I push it in with my fingers. I always keep a roll of white butyl onboard. Less messy than caulk on small wall stuff. If its a colored area maybe use a clear flexible caulk like Pro Flex Chrystal Clear etc.
