Just wondered if you guys would use the patched tire or do as I did. I have had plenty of plugs put in truck tires over the years with no problems, but not sure about ST tires. If it matters, I have Maxxis tires.
I support what you are doing. I would never run a patched tire for any distance longer than it took to get a new one. In 2012 had a flat just after leaving Zion headed to GC North Rim, slow enough leak that I could put air in and get to a tire place. Guy said he'd patch it, I asked if he had a new tire he could put he did and I put it on. Small price to pay for peace of mind.
