I would want them to 'prove' it with actual documentation and then when they can't produce Dealer would/will get an ear full if they attempt that BS on me. AND everyone within ear shot would know what a bunch of liars they were. Lie to me and I catch it I'll be that businesses worst nightmare.
That is one of the articles I read, just to make sure they were full of******after the fact.
