I have a simple solution -- I give them a cell number that I no longer have. They're happy, and I move on without wasting my time arguing.
I sure wish people wouldn't do that....think about the people that get that phone number next. At least be tough enough to either not give a number or get the stupid phone calls yourself. Think about someone besides yourself when doing things like that.
