I have also set up everything to pay auto-debit every month. I don't have to pay anything with my phone, but I do check account activity and balances almost every day. I do the same thing at home, then if there is any discrepancy, I can take care of it right away. You don't need a Wi-Fi or hot spot, just driving down the interstate is fine....if you have cell service, you'll have everything you need.
