Pentastar v6 Turbo is coming

Last year we rented a Chrysler T&C minivan and the engine did run very nice. I believe it was designed by the Daimler Chrysler group. I'm not fan of the cartridge style oil filter, the tranny had a noticeable whine and the leather seats felt to be one grade above vinyl.

Not sure about JD Power but it was a three time Wards winner but did not make the cut for 2015. The Ecodiesel was a top ten winner in 2014 and 2015. My guess is you will see the Pentastar back on the list for 2016.

Good for Chrysler to continue to be forward thinking.

I hope this product is a success for them.

More options for the buying public is great.

Maybe, to directly compete with EcoBoost the HP will have to be 365 plus and the TQ will need to be 400 lb ft plus.

Early indications are that the Pentastar is conservatively tuned so we may see a significant increase in power. Seeing that the Ram Pentastar makes 305 HP now in N/A form a turbo could really increase power towards 400 HP. Just speculating though.

Great link! I'm excited to see what the future holds for the Pentastar family. I am totally pleased with ours in our MINIVAN. Tons of power and as long as I can behave we can get well over 20 mpg hand calculated.. Interstate travel we get near 26 MPG hand calculated.

I'm not sure why Chrysler is going with a single turbo, maybe more details on this PUG upgrade will start trickling out soon.

I'm becoming more and more a Chrysler product man...I really like what they are doing across the board with all lines of business.
